Skin & Mole Checks
~~~~~~~
Due to high demand, we are unable to accept any NEW PATIENTS for skin and mole checks at the moment.
To maintain the level of care we expect for our existing patients, our current capacity is focused on returning patients and those with specific concerns.
We will continue to see:
returning patients, and
patients with up to three lesions needing review or treatment.
If this applies to you, please contact us and we’ll arrange the next suitable appointment.
~~~~~~~
New Zealand has the highest rate of melanoma in the world. Regular skin checks with experienced doctors are proven to be highly effective in detecting and diagnosing skin cancers, and improving the outcome for patients with skin cancer.
Our Doctors can also treat sun damage before it becomes a skin cancer.
Minor Surgery If Required
If any suspicious lesions are found during your skin check we can perform a biopsy or formal excision.

The NZSCM is the only official recognised training and recertification body for Cosmetic Medicine in New Zealand. You can be assured you are getting the best and safest treatment if it is from an NZSCM qualified doctor, and you can be assured the clinic is operating at “Best Practice” standards, if it has a current accreditation from the NZSCM. Koru Clinic gained its most recent NZSCM 3 year accreditation, in 2024.
