Medical Peels
Prior to starting peel treatments we recommend a pre-treatment consultation so your skin can be primed with the appropriately prescribed skin care for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to treatment and a test patch can be performed.
We strongly encourage daily SpF 50 + all year round.
Prescription peels are customised to meet your individual skin's needs; whether it is for acne prone skin, pigmented skin (including chloasma or melasma), sensitive skin, or the ageing skin.
They perform a variety of tasks, from exfoliation, pigment reduction, to rejuvenation, through the use of scientifically proven free radical combating ingredients.
There is usually minimal discomfort during a peel.

The NZSCM is the only official recognised training and recertification body for Cosmetic Medicine in New Zealand. You can be assured you are getting the best and safest treatment if it is from an NZSCM qualified doctor, and you can be assured the clinic is operating at “Best Practice” standards, if it has a current accreditation from the NZSCM. Koru Clinic gained its most recent NZSCM 3 year accreditation, in 2024.
