IPL for Excess Pigment
IPL treatments involve using an intense narrow spectrum of light
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a dynamic light treatment which targets various skin problems such as unwanted hair, pigment or blood vessels. Each treatment targets a specific narrow band of light energy.
The intense spectrum of light targets particular pigments in the skin, most usually the melanin pigment.
We are skilled at using the most up to date IPL technologies to diminish excess pigment and skin blemish issues, thus giving you a lighter, brighter, more reflective complexion.
IPL also has a well recognised skin rejuvenation effect on the skin.

The NZSCM is the only official recognised training and recertification body for Cosmetic Medicine in New Zealand. You can be assured you are getting the best and safest treatment if it is from an NZSCM qualified doctor, and you can be assured the clinic is operating at “Best Practice” standards, if it has a current accreditation from the NZSCM. Koru Clinic gained its most recent NZSCM 3 year accreditation, in 2024.
